2010 SLVYRA Trophy Awards
SLVYRA Trophy awards for the 2010 sailing season will be awarded on Sunday, 01 May. The winners are listed below. Congratulations to all.
2011 CYA Womens National Keel Boat Championship
The CYA WNKC will be held this year at HYC, June 3rd, 4th, and 5th and include one day of on the water clinic and two days of racing. This year's choice of boat is the J/22.
Hudson Long Distance Regatta, 2010
Once again we have come close to the end of the racing season, heralded, as usual by the Hudson Yacht Club long distance regatta. Some notes on this follow.
HYC - Women's Regatta - new addition to racing schedule
Hudson Yacht Club is hosting its second annual HYC Women’s Regatta on Sunday, August 8th, 2010. This is a fun and friendly white sail race, as part of the growing initiative of female sailors in the area.
Lake Saint Louis Race Week - BYC Regatta
Race week this year starts with the BYC Regatta, and ends with the PCYC regatta. Jin Frati has posted this note on the BYC Regatta, which has coincided with the 40th anniversary of the Club. Congratulations to BYC.
New SLVYRA Trophy for 2010
A new Trophy will be offered this year, 2010, for the most active One Design Fleet. The details are here:
Shark "World's" Regatta at BYC 2011
The 2011 World Championship for the Shark fleet will be held in Beaconsfield, Quebec from June 11 to June 17 (the 2010 world championship will be held in Lake Constance, Switzerland). Held annually, the world championship draws over fifty boats from five countries. The Regatta Committee has been hard at work since the Fall of 2008 when the BYC was awarded the Regatta, and plans are well along. Season Beginnings: A quick update for the beginning of the season, Racing information and the SLVYRA Trophies.
Lake of Two-Mountains « Wednesday nights series » 2009
For this the last race of the LTM Wednesday night series, the HYC race committee (Ron Harris and John Marten along with HYC bosun Patrick O’Brien) chose to set their course in between Parsons Pt. and the Oka Ferry. The wind was from the East at 8 to10 knots but lighten throughout the race. The conditions were very challenging with major windshifts happening on both side of the course near shore (sometimes simultaneously!)
Second Annual HYC Women’s Regatta
